Job Summary (Description of main purpose of job):
-Maintenance of the building and surroundings - all jobs as allocated by line manager
-Purchase order receipts / put away on system
-Physically locating stock within the warehouse
-Bin locations on the system and labelling of stock/none stock
-Keeping Warehouse / perimeter clean and tidy
-Physical stock checks - stock take creation
-Unloading / loading of deliveries/shipments. Manual and FLT.
-Entering Workshop orders
-Wrapping and putting Ex-demo equipment within the stores/showroom.
-Driving / Collections
-Other Adhoc duties
Key Tasks:
-Maintenance of the building. Specific tasks allocated are maintain forklift, carry out fire testing/flick tests, visual checks of fire escapes / routes. All other duties allocated.
-Receiving purchase orders on the inventory system, checking correct qty and locating correctly within location and bin number.
-Locating the stock items (Main and spares equipment) physically in the correct location in the warehouse - with labels where required.
-Regular checks of warehouse and perimeter to make sure they are kept clean and tidy at all times.
-Stock taking. Regular monthly, bi-monthly stock taking to ensure quantities held in stock are correct and located in the correct bin.
-Unloading of all incoming shipments/deliveries from suppliers either manually handling or with use of pallet / forklift truck
Creating Workshop jobs
-Handling all local collections /deliveries in Summit vehicle, predominantly from Fabrication dept. Occasional longer journeys to deliver parts to engineers on site (around UK) or collect items as requested
