The Commercial Analyst will provide financial support and commercial decision making support to the sales and marketing teams across all channels. The role reports into the Senior Commercial Accountant and is a great chance to develop business partnering skills.
We're looking for a capable individual with FMCG or Retail experience and a demonstrable record of adding value through analysis and business decision support.
The individual must be adaptable and happy with working in a very changeable environment (new systems implementation etc) with a relatively new team.

This is a 9-12 month contract, available to start asap.

Key Responsibilities:

• Providing financial advice in terms of Joint Business & Brand Plans, evaluating and scenario modelling commercial plans /proposals to gain approval.
• Budgeting & Forecasting
• Performance analysis & commentary, attending team meetings and providing updates on financial results
• Promotional evaluation, approval & accounting for Customer Spend
• Continually improving methods & processes in reporting /analysis / commercial team support.

What you will need for the role / what it will take

• ACA/CIMA/ACCA part qualified Accountant
• 2+ years experience in a similar role within Food manufacturing/ retail or FMCG environments
• Advanced Excel
• Experience in commercial finance environment
• Knowledge of Customer Spend management and promotional evaluation
• Evidence of commercial awareness and an enquiring nature
• Demonstrable ability to work as part of a team
• Commitment to work flexibly as appropriate
