Role: Night shift CNC Programmer Setter Operator (Miller)
* Rate: GBP13.00 per hour - GBP20.00 per hour (inc shift allowance 30%)
* Shift: Night shift - 16:00 - 04:00, 4 days a week, 12 hour shift
* Location: West Yorkshire
* Sub-contract CNC machine shop producing small batch bespoke components to customers globally
The Opportunity
We currently have a opportunity for a skilled CNC programmer, setter operator to join a busy sub-contract CNC Machine shop producing bespoke components to customer all over the world.
The Role
As the CNC programmer, setter operator you will report into the Production Manager and will carry out the following duties:
* Programming, setting and operating a range of CNC milling machines (using Fanuc controls) for the manufacture of small batch/ one off components to -/+ 0.02 micron.
* To maximise production, whilst ensuring good material utilisation, high levels of quality and minimum set up time are achieved.
* All products are manufactured efficiently and at a rate comparable with prescribed production rates
* Product is manufactured to meet customer delivery schedule.
* Effective and efficient use of all materials.
* Adhere to the company quality system; ensuring manufactured product is of highest quality.
* Comply with companies H&S Policy.
* Manage work schedule minimising set-up time.
You???
In order to be successful in this position as a competent CNC Turner, you will have the following skills and experience;
* Experience of Programming CNC Milling machines - Fanuc controls beneficial from cradle to grave.
* Experience of creating multiple programs each day
* Offline programming experience using One CNC cadcam software would be desirable
* Dexterity and mechanical aptitude
* Be able to demonstrate knowledge of imperial and metric measurements.
* Be able to use measuring equipment such as Vernier's and micrometers
* Strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and be detail-oriented, flexible, and self-motivated.
* Knowledge of engineering processes or demonstrable ability to learn.
* Experience of Six Sigma and 5S standard
This is a full-time position with training and development built in to upskill engineers to a higher level of working.
Night shift
16:00 - 04:00am, Mon - Thu
The successful candidate will join the business on an initial 12-week temp to perm contract. During this 12 week contract you'll be paid weekly via an umbrella company based on authorised weekly timesheets.
