We’ve been closed to the public since the end of March and can’t wait to re-open this autumn. We are now looking for friendly and confident people from all communities in our city to join our team and help us welcome audiences back. If you love helping, talking to people and making them smile, we’d love to hear from you.

We’re seeking Audience Assistants to welcome audiences into our theatre during our Nottingham Playhouse Unlocked festival and over our Christmas period, helping to manage audience safety from the moment visitors arrive, throughout the live performance and in the event of an emergency. You’ll also support those who may want additional help to access all our services and facilities, as well as selling drinks and ice creams using point of sale systems. Most importantly, you’ll provide a calm, efficient and reassuring service.

We’ll provide training in Health and Safety, including Covid Secure measures, Customer Care, Anti-Bias, Disability Awareness and Security to ensure all audience members and visitors have a wonderful experience during their visit.

Positions will be offered as a fixed term (15 October 2020 – 16 January 2021) zero-hours contract within a monthly rota. You’ll need to be available for weekday daytime work as well as having good availability for evening, bank holiday and weekend work when our performances take place.
