Junior Data Analyst

We now have an exciting opportunity for someone to learn about and grow into an expert in  two of the core elements of market research: preparing data for analysis and applying advanced statistical techniques to transform data into coherent stories for our clients. The Junior Data Analyst role will need to provide key support and analysis to the team.

In the role you will quickly get to grips with creating, cleaning and collating data, providing guidance and input that helps ensure accuracy, clarity and simplicity for other members of the team and of data included in Tapestry’s client reports. There is plenty of scope to use – and/or learn – and apply advanced statistical techniques to spot patterns and bring insight to data.

This role is suitable for a  graduate (or equivalent experience) who shows a strong ability in the application of statistics, data science or mathematics along with a good level of skill with programming and/or data analysis packages (e.g. R, Python, SPSS etc.).

Qualified to degree level (ideally heavy in Maths / Statistics) or with equivalent experience that demonstrates a strong understanding of computing, data science or quantitative research components, you will have a high level of IT literacy and numeracy, a strong eye for detail and a quick and efficient attitude to work.

Tapestry is looking for someone who is genuinely excited about working with numbers. You will have a strong focus on Statistics / Mathematics / analysis and be interested in how data are processed and applied in a commercial environment and specifically what that looks like within a Market Research environment. You will be energised by the idea of using your knowledge to creatively tackle thorny and complex problems, applying statistics in novel ways to get the most insight from available data.

In addition, you will be a strong communicator with the ability to explain and share your thinking as you build surveys, analyses and data reporting. You will be able to communicate complex mathematical concepts to both expert and non-expert audiences alike.
