JOB TITLE - Senior Front End Developer
SALARY - GBP45,000 - GBP55,000 (DOE)
LOCATION - Newcastle Upon Tyne
OVERVIEW -
A brand new opportunity to work for one of the biggest growing digital agencies in the North East and join their team of skilled developers.
You will be working with React, Next.js and other current technologies on a day to day basis. The ideal individual will be able to develop technical, bespoke platforms and web applications.
KEY SKILLS -
Ability to consume REST APIs to power user interfaces
Strong communication skills
Keen to continuously learn and share knowledge with others
Excellent ability to self-manage and keep to tight deadlines
Detailed on-site technical SEO and accessibility
Strong focus on user experience
Detailed knowledge of javascript, including concepts like asynchronous programming, variable scoping and ES6 features
Excellent HTML/CSS (LESS, SASS, SCSS) including modern layout approaches like FlexBox and CSS Grid, building responsive interfaces and animations using Transitions
SOFTWARES AND FRAMEWORKD USED -
React JS
SCSS / Styled Components
Webpack for bundling
Docker
Gitlab for version control and CI/CD
First and third party GraphQL and REST APIs
DESIRABLE SKILLS -
Ability to consume GraphQL APIs to power user interfaces
Ability to set development standards and performing Code Reviews
Detailed knowledge of React 16 and experience writing custom hooks
Experience with TDD methodologies
Ability to mentor other developers within the team
Using Styled Components or a similar CSS-in-JS library to design user interfaces
