Salary: GBP17,330 (pro rata)

Full and Part Time hours available (18.75 - 37.5 hours per week)

Our client is making homelessness history, it's a big statement, but they're not alone in achieving it. They're part of the national movement tackling homelessness.

They're looking for Safe & Well Support Worker (Evenings & Nights) to join their supported housing team in Stoke to play a crucial part in supporting their customers outside of their normal working hours.

They need someone to carry out the usual tasks associated with this type of role including monitoring CCTV and dealing with anti-social behaviour but also someone who can empathise, understand, listen and be willing to build a sound rapport and relationship with their customers to help them on their journey.

You'll be the first point of contact during out of hours across their various supported housing schemes in the community. Using CCTV to monitor activity and answer calls and help when customers lock themselves out. You'll also welcome new customers into the service and complete exit paperwork when customers leave us and move on. You'll help people access emergency accommodation, update logbooks, handover reports and refer customers to external support services when they need it.

You'll have a genuine understanding and compassion for people impacted by homelessness and understand the challenges they might face. You'll be able to work with customers to get the very best outcome and be able to handle conflict and resolve problems.

They're looking for someone with 6 months experience of supporting customers with a range of complex needs such as homelessness, substance misuse and mental health. You'll be flexible, adaptable and provide support that fits around the needs of the customer. They'll need you to work throughout the week including weekends.
