As a Training Delivery Instructor (Weapons) within our Marine Training business you'll be supporting us as we deliver world-class training both UK and Internationally. With over 800,000 training days delivered so far we equip people to operate and support the most complex marine platforms, logistics and equipment - using our collaborative, customer centric approach

Here at Babcock International, we operate a significant outsourced contract for the provision of education and training services to the Royal Navy. The training services comprise of naval technical and tactical training and education, delivered by Babcock Trainers as well as training support. The contract is entering an exciting new phase with renewed focus on training innovation, optimisation and collaborative working and this role will provide the support and drive to achieve successful deliver of all aspects of the contract in this new phase.

Reporting to the WE Weapons Team Leader, you will have the responsibility to assist the management of resource, governance, continuous improvement and delivery output for all training delivery within the Weapon Engineering Department. The FOAP (T) Extension presents a unique opportunity to transform RN training through the development of new approaches to learning and the exploitation of relevant learning technologies, working with a network of academic and technical suppliers. This post will be key in the development of these new approaches and relationships.

Main Responsibilities:

Carry out Instructional Duties, delivering high quality training in line with Company standards and contractual requirements.
To assist with the co-ordination of all management, planning, delivery and assurance, including SQEP maintenance, of all contracted training delivery services within the Weapon Engineering PJT Department.
Ensure that all trainees meet the Training Objectives and associated conditions and standards.
Ensure the introduction of new approaches and technologies in the delivery of modern learning solutions, supported by the Training Delivery Innovation and Improvement Lead.
Continuously monitor personal performance and customer requirements developing individual plans to minimise SME single points of failure.
Assist with improved utilisation of Training Delivery staff, through accurate availability forecasting, maximising use of existing staff agreements.This is a fantastic opportunity to be a key member of the team in training the next generation of Navy personnel. What do I need to do the job?

Minimum of HNC within the Training / Education / Engineering sector.
Experience of Weapons Engineering Systems equivalent to at least a POET (WE).
Instructional experience of technical subjects in a military environment.
Level 4 Teaching and Learning qualification - desirable, as this can be gained once in post.What else do I need to know?

You will work 37 hours per week Monday to Friday and must be able to achieve the appropriate level of Security Clearance.
