Deputy Home Manager
We have a new opportunity for a Deputy Home Manager to work in a well -maintained nursing home in the Exter location. The salary is GBP50k. The home is medium -sized and in beautiful condition and offers a variety of facilities and a full programme of activities to its residents. The home is set in landscaped gardens with a range of lovely, relaxing outside areas for residents and staff to benefit from .
As Deputy Home Manager you will need previous experience of this post or as a Deputy Manager, Deputy Nursing Manager , Clinical Lead or Head of Nursing Care in a similar setting and a commitment to providing elderly residents and those with dementia and palliative care needs with quality person centred care. You will have excellent people management skills as well as a proven track record of ensuring clinical quality assurance and safeguarding. As Deputy Home Manager you will be a key member of the Senior Management team and work closely with the Registered Manager, deputising for them in their absence. Although this is a nursing homne, you don't need to be a qualified nurse for this post but you do need strong clinical awareness, understanding and confidence. You need to be confident and competent at stakeholder engagement.

* Previous experience, developing person centred support services
* Good IT skills

* Practical experience of implementing and ensuring a person-centred care approach to the people who live in the company's homes is maintained
* Supporting in the on-going management and review of their end of life programme.
* Strong people management skills and experience to be able to build a positive working environment and a cohesive team involving all employees of the home
* The company is looking for someone who is solution focused, who can set realistic and achievable goals for themselves and others (essential)
* Managing the home on a day to day basis
* A great deal of involvement with family members
* Staff supervision
* Staff rota's
* Assessment of future residents
