One of the world's leading Data Analytics organisations (focused on providing Real Time Data solutions to the gaming and banking industry) are now looking to hire a DevOps Engineer to join their Edinburgh office.
The business is a pioneer in developing cutting-edge Tech in Machine Learning and Big Data to assist their clients and are now seeking to expand the Engineering Team.
The Role:
- The successful DevOps Engineer is needed to develop, maintain, and support the Real Time, cloud-based production and quality assurance system
- The DevOps Engineer would be required to work evenings, weekends and holiday work hours in order to support this function
- Ensuring the platform is robust & performant to accommodate a large-scale user base
- Diagnosing failures, troubleshooting under intense SLAs, debugging and liaising with the Engineering team in the US
Skills/Experience required for the successful DevOps Engineer:
- Strong commercial experience in a programming language - PHP, Python, Node would be preferred
- Experience using a VCS - ideally GIT
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines
- Commercial experience with tools such as Terraform, Kubernetes or Docker
- Good commercial experience AWS related Technologies
- Good understanding of the command-line (linux or unix)
- Prior experience reviewing and debugging code written by other Engineers
