Job objectives and responsibilities

* To be responsible for supporting the account management team to ensure excellent account management and long term profitable growth through retention, upsell, and cross-sell via internal sales channels.

* To support the Account Managers in delivering their day to day duties and activities in order for them to build and nurture excellent client relationships based on insight, understanding, trust, communication, and innovation.

* Personal responsibility for supporting the Account Managers and the management of their key customer accounts including auctioning customer queries.

* You will build strong relationships with the operational teams to ensure customer queries are managed effectively.

* You will work closely with the account management team as well as solutions & delivery teams, and commercial & legal teams to ensure customer needs are understood and supported and ultimately delivered through the Account Manager and operational teams.

* As Associate Account Manager you will be expected to be familiar with all products within our service propositions well as being able to support the Account Managers in the creation of customer contracts and proposals . You will be familiar with how these services are delivered internally from sustainability strategy, environment and energy services to compliance.

Main duties

* Support the Account Manager in necessary day to day duties including arranging and preparing for customer meetings, supporting with customer communication and customer retention plans including monthly reporting (for both client and internal purposes)

* Supporting in customer research enabling compelling and focused proposals to be created including analysing client requirements and drivers, competitor strengths and weaknesses in order for the Account Managers to target effective proposals ensuring NOSE (Needs, Outcome, Solution & Evidence) analysis is an integral part of each proposal.

* Keep up to date client account plans and next key actions to support Account Managers retention and growth plans.

* Support in ensuring strategic account information is up to date and maintained on the central Salesforce CRM tool including; customer contact details, account opportunities and retention.

* Ensuring all contract information is logged and up to date on the central Orbit database including services, contract start and end dates and contract values.

* Support in the development of high quality proposals and presentations to support retention and upsell/cross sell opportunities

* Maintain a good internal stakeholder network coordinating with the operational teams to ensure queries and actions are managed and delivered by the relevant individuals.

* Support gathering information for case study development from the Account Managers and Operational teams.
