We are currently working with an Academy in the Blackpool area who is looking for a number of support staff to work on a 1:1 basis with pupils who have a EHCP plans.
The school are looking for teaching assistants to start October 2020 until the end of the academic year. You will be required to work Monday-Friday 8:30am - 3:30pm.You will be required to work across KS1 and KS2 supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis with additional needs.
The role:
Your role as a SEN Teaching Assistant will be supporting a child on a 1:1 basis who struggles with communications, speech and language and their behaviour. You will be ensuring they are understanding and concentrating when in the classroom. This role is behavioural as they can be emotional and will need someone to support them closely when they are feeling anxious. It is important to be able to build strong relationships between the child, staff and parents to make sure all needs are met.
What the school are looking for:
SEND experience preferably in a Primary setting
knowledge of the KS1 & KS2 curriculum
