Introduction
Our client is a Global Market Leader in Chemical Distribution. Providing distribution solutions for industrial and specialty chemicals across numerous sectors, our client is now looking for an experienced Operations Manager to join their team based in Bradford.
What you will be doing
As the Operations Manager, reporting directly to the General Manager, your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Ensuring both sites and transportation are fully compliant and meet health and safety requirements
Incident control - Near Misses, Misloads
Oversee direct reports
Ensure excellent customer services is delivered
Create and agree annual budgets and cost-effective working
Liaise with the Transport Manager to ensure safe and efficient distribution of chemicals
CAPEX Management
Identify areas of operational improvements
Customer inspections to ensure operational requirements are met - safety and compliance - tank and site inspections
Permit to Works, SAP and Legionella Responsible personWhat you will need
Full Driving License
Background within Operations Management in the Chemicals Industry
Qualified to NVQ or equivalent within a related technical field
Knowledge and experience within storage and of distribution logistics
Strong Health, Safety and Compliance experience and knowledgeWhat's on Offer
