Due to our Client's growth, and plans to expand the business further, Ganymede are recruiting for an Operations Standards Manager to provide leadership in the development and mentoring of Train Drivers and staff.

The Role

This position will be Monday to Friday (9am to 5pm - 37-hour week) with the requirement to be on call once every four weeks. Location for this role can be London, Walsall or Crewe, where you'll be managing the continued development and training of staff, this includes route knowledge, technical competences and ensuring the team are fully compliant with the Railway Rule Book.

You will be also be required to attend and carry out investigation to incidents / accidents and provide detailed reports on findings, and recommendations for improvements. Working closely with Network Rail, RSSB and ORR share best practice and ensure your employer is maintaining up to date information and prepared for any changes in legislation.

You will also represent the company when attending industry conferences!

About You

You may be a Train Driver, Train Driver Instructor or Trainer or Driver Competence Manager with passion concerning the development of others, and keen to progress your career within the rail sector. You'll be required to have a great understanding of the Rule Book, and experience of training staff.

You'll also be an effective communicator and experience of report writing. This will be coupled with qualifications such as any of the below;

Train Driver competence
7331 Training/ Instructor Qualification
Train Operations Liaison Officer (TOLO)
Formal assessor and verifier qualification such as A1/L12, V1 or D132/33
301/302 Coaching and internal Verification (IV) or equivalent.
