Teacher - COVID-19 Restart and Recovery (2FTE) (Temporary)

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the Dumfries High School cluster teaching team as we are seeking to recruit two additional teacher positions to support the COVID-19 Restart and Recovery Programme. These positions will be based across the cluster schools attached to and including Dumfries High School to deliver classroom support and cover across a variety of year groups.
These positions are for 35 hours per week for a temporary period up to one year.
The successful applicants will undertake a variety of teaching duties as required at different stages to meet the needs of all the school and to compensate for any loss of learning suffered by pupils during the COVID-19 lockdown. You will be responsible for aspects of planning, assessment and reporting as directed by the Headteachers of the schools you will be allocated to within Dumfries High School Cluster.
Applicants for teaching posts must be registered with the General Teaching Council for Scotland, Clerwood House, 96 Clermiston Road, Edinburgh, EH12 6UT in the appropriate sector.
This post is considered as Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. From 28 February 2011, preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG scheme update check prior to formal offer of employment being made by Dumfries and Galloway Council.
Applicants who have been resident outside the UK within the last 5 years, if offered a position, in addition to a Disclosure Scotland Check, will be required to provide a completed police record check from the police authority in the country or countries in which they were resident...... click apply for full job details
