Our client is looking for a construction manager to work a short term contract in the Cambridge area to work on blockade replacing bridge deck timbers. The work itself is a mixture of days, nights and weekends with the bulk of the work taking place during a blockade but with the need to continue afterwards to monitor works carried out. As the construction manager you will be expected to support the project where needed but also be involved in the following:
* Supervision of all works on site and ensure they are completed on time and budget and monitor progress against the programme
* Report on a shift by shift basis to the project manager and project team on progress, quality and other identified measures
* Attend meetings and briefings as required by the project teams
* Ensuring CDM regulations as well as NR and project specific HSEQ procedures are adhered to and reporting any non-conformances in accordance with the project plan
The candidate will need a good background in P-Way and ideally have previous experience with replacing wheel timbers, however this is not essential.
