Cordant People are currently recruiting for an experienced Warehouse Picking Team Leader with Forklift Licences Counterbalance and Reach! Immediate Start Available!! Swansea area!

Salary: GBP26,265 per annum

Hours of Work: 37.5 hours per week:- Sun - 10:30am to 4pm & Mon - Thursdays: 3pm-11pm

Must be flexible to run over shift finish time by up to one hour occasionally.

Contract: Permanent

My client that works within the food industry is looking for a well experienced warehouse picking team leader (with a Forklift Counterbalance and reach licence) to join their team. Ideally you will come from a similar industry but this is not essential. Experience of managing staff in a picking/ warehouse environment desirable.

Purpose of the role:

Lead the daily operations within the Picking Department to ensure accurate and timely picking processes of all orders with maximum efficiency. Provide coaching assistance to the picking team members while maintaining all company policies and procedures

Main Duties:

Ensure that accurate and prompt deliveries can be made to customers.
Accurately and proactively plan your designated teams work to achieve your daily goals.
Train new starters and experienced operative in line with Company's policy and procedures.
Carry out quality control audits to assess both individual and process performance thus enabling the identification of training needs or process updates.
Ensure the dispatch of goods is carried out in a timely manner.
Ensure all relevant paperwork is produced for all orders and deliveries.
Identify, investigate and report stock shortages or damages at the earliest opportunity.
Attend and participate in operation meetings when requested.
Supervise the safe and efficient picking of stock in line with company guidelines.
Maintain accurate stock movement records through the stock control system.
Pick and load customer orders when required.
Actively monitor issues and trends that may impact on the operation in order to identify and report upon reoccurring issues, including preventative and corrective measures.
Deputise in the absence of Supervisor.
Comply with all company Health & Safety policies and procedures.
Comply with Food Safety legislation.
Basic IT skills essential
