My client is looking for a Data Science Professional to join their procurement department and embark on the creation of a new capability which leverages the wealth of internal and external data sources, the latest data science techniques and analytical trends to strengthen their negotiation and capabilities and the bottom line impact to the client.
As well as standing up a new sustainable capability the team will also support the procurement teams on the largest and most complex deals applying both core and new data techniques to ensure buyers are armed with information to negotiate the best possible deal.
Skills/Experience
You will have a strong experience in data analytics and have experience in developing new data capabilities from scratch (fairly immature state).
Able to extract and manipulate data from our various data stores and storage framework/sources.
Experience of using methodical data science techniques to select and tune algorithms and quantify performance in a business relevant way.
Be able to engage stories using non-technical language and exciting visualisations to influence change.
Analyse big data sets using data science techniques, delivering appropriate outcomes for the business whether analysis, modelling or recommendations.
Experience in using exploratory analysis methodologies to identify patterns and trends to use with the right statistical methods (clustering, PCA, regression, significant testing)
