Job Description
We are looking to hire an excellent HSE Incident and Program Manager on a permanent basis to assist the Global HSE Team to build a strong HSE culture to enhance a uniform approach to HSE across all sites and departments.This is a key strategic position to the long-term success of the group's improvement strategy and a unique opportunity where you can express your views.
As a member of the HSSE team, you will focus on the coordination of the development, implementation and institutionalization of essential global processes while identifying best practices and benchmarking standards.
The position can be located at our sites, in Manchester or Slough, UK.
Duties & Responsibilities
* Drive HSE communication process to ensure compliance with all identified HSE requirements
* Coordinate the development of common global HSE systems, processes and tools ensuring that market sector and site requirements / needs have been considered and incorporated as needed
* Guide and promote safe work performance by developing proactive HSE systems, policies, and procedures; develop safety and environmental campaigns, communications, and recognitions in line with Division strategies
* Support identification of customer requirements and training to ensure John Crane HSE policies and standards make John Crane a preferred supplier. Report and track customer required HSE data as needed
* Determine training requirements and aid specific sites and departments in completing training. Conduct training for managers and employees
* Provide assistance and review all serious John Crane incident investigations, ensure corrective and preventive actions are appropriate, completed timely, and lessons learned communicated
* Monitor and identify trends within the Global HSE database information and recommend improvement

The Individual
* Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Sciences or a related technical discipline (eg. Industrial, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Preferred Engineering) is required
* You have HSE experience plus strong working knowledge of HSE regulations and requirements
* Working knowledge of ISO 14001 and 45001 HSE management systems required. Preference given to experience in implementing an integrated HSE management system
* Demonstrated Leadership experience required in HSE Systems for large multinational, multi-site organization. Experience in manufacturing, energy, oil & gas, or petrol chemical industries is preferred
* Proven capability to lead large cross functional, global teams in problem solving, process improvements, and solution implementation.
* You could be successful in this role if you possess the following competencies: global leadership, multi-site leadership, strong written and oral communication, resource management, problem solving, process improvement, conflict resolution and process development / deployment administration and change management
