Teaching personnel are currently recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to join the school faculty starting ASAP. It will be a full-time position Monday - Friday with an hourly rate of GBP10 an hour. Supporting pupils with social, emotional mental health. A great Cardiff location (CF11 Area) means that transport and travel routes are easily accessible.

After not being in a school environment for a long-time change can have a huge effect on everyone and especially students who have social, emotional mental health. It is important to ensure that you have a greater understanding of how mental health works and how to pro-actively encourage the pupil to engage with others.

The ideal Teaching Assistant???

Be able to work Monday - Friday
Have extensive experience with Mental health, such as depression, extreme anxiety, bi-polar and OCD
Confident with 1:1 support
Care or Psychology background (preferred not essential)
Not be fazed by any situation that may arise or easily offended
Be prepared to work outdoors for a part of the role as well as indoors
You will be required to work 1:1 with this pupil working with them to develop their interpersonal skills and communication skills. It is important to encourage independence and forward thinking while in school to help prepare the pupil for adult life. Meaning that you will be required to spend time working with the pupils teaching them life skills as well as following the education curriculum.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
