Who you'll be working with

The UK marketing and communications team work closely with the business to support the ambition for growth. With sector focused expertise, the team delivers integrated marketing campaigns, events, account based marketing programmes, pursuit support and external communication programmes, supporting the business strategy by building brand awareness, enhancing our offers and driving market share.

The focus of your role

The successful candidate will be able to develop the UK media and digital strategies and execute multiple and varied external communications activities in line with the UK marketing programme. The role will report into the UK Marketing & Communications Director and will work closely with the Group PR team and the extended UK marketing team in support of Marketing & Communications priorities.

What you'll do

In this varied external communications role - covering media relations, social media, blogs, paid promotion, website content, SEO and an employee advocacy programme - you will be responsible for promoting Capgemini's thought leadership, portfolio offers, capabilities and client success stories to strengthen our image and reputation with decision makers in key sectors (including retail, consumer products, energy and utilities, public sector, manufacturing, automotive, transport and telecoms). You will also promote content related to our talent brand and CSR activities through a variety of external channels.

Your responsibilities will include:

Develop and implement the UK media and digital strategies (incl. website and social) designed to maximise the visibility of Capgemini's technology and business transformation expertise
Design external communications campaigns at sector and offer level to support business and marketing priorities
Issue and crisis management
Manage the UK external communications team, consisting of a London-based PR Executive and 3 offshore website specialists, in addition to managing the day to day relationship with the UK PR agency
Brief and coach key subject matter experts and senior executives on communications best practice
Provide guidance on the development of media and digital content
Work with the Group PR team to reflect Group priorities within the UK comms programs, and to manage, in an agile way, any issues that could have media implications
Report on the effectiveness of UK PR activity in line with Group guidance
Collaborate with marketing colleagues on initiatives, sharing learnings, insights and ideas
Actively participate in the global PR network and share best practice
Work effectively with suppliers, partners and clientsWhat you'll bring

Substantial experience in PR/external communications, including a stint at a PR agency
A track record of implementation of media and digital strategies. Experience working with various digital platforms and formats is a plus
Experience of working in a B2B and/or technology environment with a strong interest in technology / digital transformation topics would be preferable
Comfortable working in a complex, matrix organisation managing multiple senior stakeholders
Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders of all levels
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects to tight deadlines
Team player, with a 'can do' attitude, but also able to work on own initiative
Proven ability to work under pressure
