Trak employment are seeking 15 customisation Assembly Operatives for a bespoke furniture company based in Swindon.
The key duties of the Customisation role are to aid in the preparation of the clients furniture allowing them to be painted to customer specification, this includes dismantling the item's then sanding and keying painted surfaces and masking off any areas of the furniture that will not require painting.
The operative requires a good eye for detail as they are required to find and fix any defaults in the furniture that need fixing prior to the paint service being applied, this requires filling, sanding and a base layer of paint being applied.
The Key duties for the assembly role would include knowing how each item is dissembled and they will be responsible for the final QC checking of all items and any final touches required for the finish of the furniture.
Once QC check has taken place the operative then reassembles the furniture adjusting doors and hinges where required before passing it forward to be packed and ready to be shipped to the customer.
For this role a background of painting and decorating would be of an advantage with the type of work that is required but this is not essential as training can be given to the right candidate.
A good eye for detail is required in all areas of the Customisation area and quality control as fault finding is key at every stage of the process.
All candidates are required to be able to work off their own initiative and work independently within the dept.
All candidates should be aware there is a level of heavy lifting involved in the day to day working within the shift.
Items are required to be unpacked from boxes and lifted on to trollies in readiness to be painted.
Due to the nature of the work there is also a high level of repetitive work such as sanding items for preparation.
This role will be working Monday - Friday 14:00pm - 22:30pm paying GBP9.19ph
