Due to continued growth, an exciting opportunity has arisen with this long established, family run Commercial Flooring Business, and they are seeking a Flooring Installer who will have the opportunity to grow and develop and become a key member of this team.

As a Flooring Installer, you will be responsible for various commercial projects; involving material collection, transport to site, site preparation through to professional installation of chosen flooring. You may occasionally be the main point of contact for clients throughout individual projects, although will always have full support in this family run business environment.

You will ensure projects are executed in accordance with all relevant safety legislation, ensuring regulations relating to health, safety and the environment are adhered to.

Your skills will be utilised in the following areas:-

* Planning and Time Management - to ensure that projects are completed within set timeframes.

* Resource Management - ensuring that equipment and materials is available throughout the project. Planning ahead to prevent problems on site before they occur, for example, planning the delivery or collection and storage of equipment and materials.

* Communicating with a range of people including the client, suppliers, ensuring that all involved are aware of the project's progress.

* Ensure all projects are delivered within the agreed timeframe and budget.

Person Specification

You will ideally have experience of installing all types of various lines of commercial flooring to clients and projects of various sizes, either on a permanent or sub-contract basis and can demonstrate the following attributes:-

* Excellent people skills to work with staff and clients at all levels

* excellent organisational and planning skills

* the ability to take on responsibility and make decisions

* an in-depth knowledge of all aspects of commercial flooring preparation work

* an in-depth knowledge of all aspects of commercial flooring installation work using multi-materials

* an understanding of health and safety requirements

* You will ideally already have an up to date CSCS card, however this can be arranged if required.

* Some of the company client require individuals to be CRB checked to allow work on site, therefore you may already have this authorisation or be prepared to complete this process before authorisation to commence employment.

The company undertake various sizes of projects predominantly throughout the North West and North Wales and therefore it is expected you would be located within a reasonable commute of these areas. The company occasionally undertake projects in other areas of the UK, therefore flexibility may be required, although it is not expected UK wide travel would be of a frequent nature. Company vehicle will be provided or fuel expenses can be arranged if utilising your own suitable vehicle.

Salary is negotiable depending on experience, and very competitive and can be discussed further on application, including long term benefits and the opportunity for personal development and financial incentive.

This is a permanent full time position, however the company would still be keen to hear from you should you prefer the flexibility of a contracted position. Either way, the company can offer long term and stable employment and all options can be discussed on application.
