Our Carlisle site has up to 1500 employees, spanning over 3 Factories across 2 sites. The site produces around 90 million meals annually with 150 products made daily over a 7 day operation along with a turnover of GBP140 million.

Role Overview:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Planning Manager to join our Planning team at our Cavaghan & Gray site in Carlisle.

This role will see you report into our Supply Chain Manager and provide support to deliver the Business plan and Supply Chain strategy. You will promote consistent working across planning teams as well as develop & embed planning rules with operations team. You will manage the Planning team and promote best practices across the team, reviewing ways of working to deliver an efficient plan that maximises labour efficiency and minimises waste. You will encourage succession planning, maintaining SOP's and training matrix updated with all current processes & procedures. You will also control Ingredients, WIP & FG stocks to minimise out of life (OOL) material as well as reporting and analyse KPI's to work with the Planning & Replenishment Team to create a continuous improvement ethos. You will ensure the team are operating within agreed meeting schedule to keep operations and planning up to date with daily current reality. You will cultivate customers contact at appropriate level to foster good working relationships with customer supply teams. You will also work with Operation's and the Logistics Team to analyse customers overs & shortages, recommending improvement plans to improve service.

About you:

* MRP Systems / SAP Knowledge - Significant experience with working knowledge of MRP systems and principles - Essential

* Food industry experience is preferred, however will consider FMCG and manufacturing experience.

* Demonstrated management experience

* Advanced Excel / Office - be comfortable working with large amount of data and confident in the analysis / presentation to teams

* High level of accuracy

* Excellent communication skills
