A 9 months+ contract opportunity for an Income Officer has arisen with the local authorities in Ferndown.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys the challenge of income collection and has the commitment and drive to provide a first class service as part of the Income Team within the Housing Management function.
This job will involve a comprehensive rent and arrears management service to tenants. The emphasis of this job role is early intervention and working with tenants to resolve rent arrears in a timely manner. You will need to be resilient and confident in your ability to deal with difficult customers whilst providing outstanding customer care.
If you are a strong team player who is proactive and effective at income collection, then this could be the role for you.
This is a part time position. Days of work are Monday to Wednesday, 18,5 hours per week.
Skills and Experience:
Understanding of principles of local taxation.
Experience of working with a financial management system such as Oracle Financial
Knowledge of Housing Benefit, welfare benefits
Local taxation or debt collection experience
Experience of working in an Accounts Receivable environment.
