Senior Satellite Communications Systems Consultant - the role

You'll be joining a highly talented team of specialists who work with companies in the civilian and military sectors, designing and modelling cutting-edge satellite networks and a range of supported communications services.
Senior Satellite Communications Systems Consultant - responsibilities
* Working with end-users to model, establish and validate requirements for satellite networks
* Using statistical techniques to develop and maintain link budgets
* Top-level capacity design for satcoms networks & related comms services
* High-level system design & simulation of GEO, MEO & LEO satellite networks
* Ensuring design adherence to standards, e.g. ITU regulations
* Meeting with customers and partners (mostly London & Wiltshire) as required
Senior Satellite Communications Systems Consultant - requirements
* Proven track record in the modelling of communications networks
* Experience of capacity planning high-level architecture design
* Knowledge of satellite network modelling & simulation - both ground and space segments
* Good understanding of satellite communications network design
* Ability to assess hardware, software and firmware requirements within a systems design
* Experience of military satellite systems would be a plus, as would any knowledge of SDR
* Chartered Engineer qualification would be of benefit
* Must be prepared to undergo security clearance
