Highly rewarding opportunity for an Immunohistochemistry/ histology Senior Scientist to join a leading biopharmaceutical organisation in the South East!
Responsibilities
* Development of complex IHC/ histology-based quantitative biomarker assays, measuring analytes in various tissue samples
* Optimise experimental design, troubleshoot technical issues and assist with tech transfer into CROs ensuring successful validations to project timelines
* Maintain thorough and up-to-date knowledge of novel emerging technologies relevant to the field
Candidate requirements
* BSc, MSc or PhD in a relevant biological discipline with excellent understanding of principles of IHC and its application to Biomarker analysis
* Experience developing IHC, histology, in situ hybridization technologies assays - prior experience with autostainers would be advantageous
* Experience identifying analytes in multiple tissues using various imaging techniques (brightfield & fluorescence microscopy etc???)
* Excellent organisation & communication skills with exceptional attention to detail
Please note: This role is initially offered on a 12-month contract with realistic potential for extension and/or permanency.
