1st line NOC Engineer
We are only looking for applicants in and around Guildford.
We are looking for a 1st line NOC Engineer to implement, maintain, and support our growing network infrastructure. You will be part of a team that is responsible for developing scalable, maintainable, highly available network architectures that meet business objectives and SLAs.
The role is within the Network Operation Centre team at Britannic Technologies and is for for a 1st line LAN/WAN technical support engineer, reporting to the IT & Network Services Manager.
The candidate will be a minimum of CCNA qualified engineer with some experience delivering Cisco and/or HP WAN and LAN solutions. Exposure and knowledge of telecoms / VoIP or VMWARE technologies would be highly beneficial.
Initially the role will involve a variety of tasks for our customers and the duties will include CPE builds / new circuit installs, and surrounding tasks such as support and proactive monitoring. You will work as a 1st line support engineer handling new cases into the NOC, liaising with customers on issues raised, and new orders. You will be encouraged to progress cases through to closure, and where required escalate to 2nd line.
There will be scope to become more involved with systems design and new customer deployments as you progress in the role, as well as training opportunities. You will be responsible for developing the detailed configuration designs, testing implementation and integration plans which allow new solutions to be delivered. This is an office based role although you will be required to attend customer sites or Data Centres when required. This is a busy NOC so the right candidate with need to be proactive and able to use initiative to resolve issues
