Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer - Electrically Biased
Staffordshire
GBP35k
Days - Flexibility on shifts will be required in the future

Due to current growth and expansion, McIver Knight Associates have partnered with an independt manufacturing service centre that operates some of the most technically advanced services centres in the UK.
The company supply a wide range of products into a specific targeted market which gives them the opportunity to work closely in business with their client base and suppliers to add value and remove any unwanted costs.
Responsibilities:
* To electrically and mechanically maintain and repair various types of production machinery in a safe and timely manner ensuring equipment is in a good and safe working condition for use
* To provide engineering shift support to the business
* To solve and rectify electrical and mechanical machine breakdowns in a timely manner whilst on shift
* Perform planned and preventative tasks as part of a team or individually
* Complete and maintain required business documentation and processes and ensure all site services and utilities are in good working condition.
* Solely responsible for own work and capable of working solely or as part of a team
* Undertaking and documenting scheduled PPM maintenance
The ideal candidate will be:
* Proven experience in a manufacturing, fast moving environment with both preventative and reactive experience
* Knowledge of installing/repairing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and PLC equipment and experience of PLC's
* Understanding of reliability control maintenance processes and asset clarification
* Good standard of both literacy and numeracy
* Demonstrated experience of continuous improvement processes and implementation
* Good verbal and written communication
* Be able to operate in a physically demanding role ie. Manual handling / Lifting
* Fork lift truck driving
* High level of personal presentation
* PC literate with advanced understanding of Microsoft office and engineering management systems
* Can do attitude and results orientated
* Flexible in approach to work hours including overtime and weekends
* Excellent time management
* Attention to detail and proactive
* Ability to work on own initiative and also as a member of a team, operating to high standards of team work where necessary and personal values
* An advanced knowledge and application of health and safety practices
Qualifications Required
* A recognized apprenticeship or period of formal training (minimum of 3 years) in a multi skilled discipline with a minimum of 5 years' post-apprenticeship experience with a biased to electrical qualifications
* 17/18th Edition Electrical qualification
* Abrasive wheel trained
* A qualification in Lean six sigma desirable but not essential
* Qualifications in health and safety desirable but not essential
* Fork lift truck
