Junior Finance Assistant (Apprenticeship)
My client is a successful food manufacturer based on the outskirts of Norwich and are looking for a Junior Finance Assistant to join their team and study towards AAT Level 3 & 4. This role reports to the Financial Controller
Job Summary / Purpose
Responsible for supporting the Financial Controller and Finance Department with timely and accurate delivery of all finance, administration and reception tasks. In addition to the role, you will also complete a 18/24-month, Level 3 & 4 Accountancy Apprenticeship.
Duties and Responsibilities
Finance
Recording payments and receipts
Bank reconciliations
Balance Sheet reconciliations
Stock reconciliations
Assist with Sales and Purchase Ledger activities as required, acting as cover during annual leave
Supporting month end activities including prepayments, accruals and general analysis
Assist with preparation of monthly management accounts, including posting of journals as required
Assist with Project accounting/Costing systems
Performing other Finance related administrative activities as required
Reception
Provide Reception cover as required
Health and Safety
Promote and support a safe working environment and foster a culture of 'safety first'
Ensure that all H&S policies are adhered to.
This is a great opportunity for someone who has experience working within a finance role and is looking to study alongside a full time role Monday - Friday 40 hours per week
Due to rural location of the business own transport is essential
