Health Safety & Environment Manager - HSE Manager
Location: Harlow, Essex
Free on-site car parking
Salary: GBP40,000 - GBP45,000 pa
We are currently assisting our client in the search for an experienced Health, Safety and Environment Manager (HSE Manager) The successful person will be part of a strong management team for a production and manufacturing company based in Harlow. Our client is looking for someone with significant hands on experience, team player, leadership skills, able to build strong relationships internally and externally, positive attitude with flexibility and able to embrace change.
The Health, Safety and Environment Manager will plan and carry out Site Audits / Inspections ensuring that systems are updated with the latest information. Provide relevant training and advisory support to all departments with regard to H&S issues (Fire, First Aid, Hazards, Risk Assessments, COSHH, Occupational Health and DSE). The successful candidate will also carry out accident and incident investigations ensuring suitable and sufficient review has been conducted and all required information collated to enable corrective actions and improvements to be made.
The HSE Manager will be required to be structured and detail conscious in your approach, as significant aspects of your work will be audited at a detailed level by Business, Customer and Regulatory Bodies and will be responsible for communicating and promoting a positive health and safety culture within the business.
Requirements:
Previous experience in a similar manufacturing industry
Degree or equivalent in Health & Safety related discipline
NEBOSH general certificate or equivalent
Up to date knowledge on legislation
Structured and disciplined work practices
Project management skills a distinct advantage
Excellent communication skills
Responsibilities:
Overseeing all Health & Safety
Liaising with Directors and Managers with all Health, Safety & Welfare of employees
Completion of monthly H&S dashboard
Risk assessments and action plans
Conducting Audits
Carry out testing and sampling of occupational exposure to noise, air quality, dust control
Accident investigations
Manage budgets
Communicate with enforcement companies (HSE, Fire Authority, EA)
Salary Guide: GBP40,000 - GBP45,000 pa + Excellent Benefits
Working Hours: Monday to Friday 9.00 am - 5.00 pm.
Location: Harlow, Essex / Hertfordshire border
