GPS Recruitment are now on the search for an experienced Transport Compliance Manager to step in and control the maintenance and legal compliance of a fleet of 150+ vehicles.
As Transport Compliance Manager you will be responsible for effectively managing a fleet of vehicles based mainly in Barnsley but also some satellite sites around the UK. You will manage a small team of supervisory staff, covering the regular maintenance to be in line with operational compliance.
As Compliance manager you will be expected to attend regular seminars/events/trade shows to keep up with new legislation.
Key aspects of the role:
• Dealing with legal compliance, tachograph rules, tracking systems and drivers' infringements.
• Managing all aspects of our Operator licence.
• Taking appropriate action against any infringements.
• Ensuring transport operations meet all relevant transport and health and safety legislation.
• Ensuring accidents and incidents are fully investigated and reported.
• Manage all aspects of fleet maintenance and scheduling.
• Manage FORS compliance.
• Delivering excellent service to both internal and external customers
About You
We're looking for someone who has:
• National CPC.
• Working knowledge of transport and driver regulations.
• Experience in compliance management.
• Previous experience in a similar management role.
• FORS management experience.
• Tachomaster knowledge. (This is the system used)
• A full UK driving licence.
• A high level of customer service.
• A proactive, flexible approach with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent organisational skills.
You will ideally be based close to the Barnsley area, working hours will be Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, however the role will require you to be available outside of standard working hours as required.
