Die Casting Machine Operator

If so, you could be perfect for this role. We are currently looking to recruit a number of DCM operators on a temporary basis for one of the world's premier global automotive suppliers.

automotive suppliers. Magna's pioneering technology and creativity allows our customers to ask
for solutions that lie beyond what they previously thought was possible.
Cosma Casting UK are establishing a manufacturing facility in Telford in the UK. For this new
venture, we are looking for DCM Operators. Cosma Casting UK will specialise in high pressure die-
casting that designs and builds medium to large aluminium die-cast automotive components.

Hours:

- 2 shift rotation 6:00 - 14:00 / 14:00 - 22:00

- Set shift 22:00 - 6:00

Position Summary:

Reporting to the Team Leader the DCM Operator is part of the team responsible for the
manufacture of castings on site, ensuring a safe working environment and satisfying all customer
quality standards.

Responsibilities:

- Guarantee a safe working environment
- Ensure all production processes conform to current quality standards
- Manufacture parts in time to satisfy customer demand
- Strive to improve production processes
- Part of team to root cause analysis of non-conforming production and implement corrective actions
- Quality check of parts produced
- Record hourly performance and Key characteristics of parts produced
- Promote the companies HSE policies across the department and plant and adhere to all
- Health and Safety environmental requirements

Personal Attributes:

- Results driven with good written and oral communication skills
- Able to work in a faced paced team environment
- Effective communication skills (written and verbal)
- Self-motivated, able to initiate and follow tasks through to completion

Experience:

-Proven Production experience
- Experience of problem solving
- Use of 5S to improve production environment
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft (Excel, Word etc.)
- Understanding of KPI's to track performance
- Proven experience of technical ability (Die cast machine/mouldingmachines/machine Op/setter etc)
