Production Manager
Job Description
Responsible for the delivery of customers' orders, on time, every time whilst maintaining the high standards expected. Act as a bridge between the shop floor and the sales office & despatch teams to iron out any queries, whilst significantly improving production time.
- Prepping the factory staff for the working day ahead and organising the factory to be clear and organised at the end of the working day (trolleys, sheet, materials)
- Monitor jobs through manufacturing process to spot and eliminate any faults or mistakes that may mean rejection.
- Deliver the expected daily production schedule by ensuring manufacturing operations are done, so that other manufacturing can be completed as planned.
- Ensuring all subcontracting jobs are completed in production and all parts are available for collection, organising whether its palletising for vehicle collection or simply loaded into a trolley.
- Supervise and motivate a team of 30-40 workers
- Offering training to new or current employees, this being either skilled training, trainee welder/ press operative, paint line operatives or simple health and safety training.
- Adding capacity on the shop floor and offering substitute for any unforeseen absence.
- Maintaining a safe and tidy working environment
- Monitor all health and safety risks and enforce PPE
