Teaching Assistant - Primary School
Cambridge
GBP65 - GBP80 per day
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are 6 months of working with children in the last 2 years.
September 2020 - permanent role
Vision for Education is seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to work across a cluster of lovely primary schools in and around Cambridge. This is on an ad hoc basis, but you can expect to be kept busy!
The role
The desired Teaching Assistant will be working with pupils with a wide range of ability levels and backgrounds. You will often be required to work 1:1 with children with SEND. The research we have done with our client schools suggests that a lot of long-term TA supply cover (4+ weeks) will be needed in the autumn term due to the current climate.
The school
There are a number of schools that we work with who have said that due to the Coronavirus, they are likely to need more TA supply, both short-term and especially long-term. They are based within Cambridge and around 10 miles around and will vary from larger, urban settings to smaller rural schools.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you will:
• Have recent experience of working 4-11 year olds.
• Have a genuine desire to become part of a committed team of Teaching Assistants.
• Have a passion for helping children learn and particularly assisting those with SEND.
Vision for Education is committed to safeguarding children and young people. We take our responsibilities extremely seriously. All staff we register will undertake thorough interviewing and referencing checks and hold, or be prepared to undergo, an Enhanced DBS check that must be registered on the Update Service.
