Elevation Recruitment Group are on the look out for a hard working and highly organised Bookkeeper/Accounts Assistant on behalf of a growing business based in the Barnsley area (S74).
Reporting into the General Manager, the ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a "can do" attitude and a real desire to succeed. You will take pride in your work and have a genuine passion for Accountancy & Finance. This role is working as part of a small team however you will feel comfortable using your initiative and getting stuck in.
As an advocate for process improvement, you will feel comfortable challenging new ways of working in order to improve processes and efficiencies across the finance department. This is a great opportunity to put your own stamp on the role and really make it your own.

Duties of the Accounts Assistant will include (but are not limited to):
?? Check & Enter Supplier Invoices
?? Pay Suppliers (including Proforma, VAT & Duty & Import Loan payments & early settlements)
?? Bank Reconciliation (Enter Payments & Receipts)
?? Credit Card Reconciliation (Enter Payments & Receipts)
?? Maintain the Fixed Asset Register
?? Month End Journals & Prepayments
?? Produce Monthly Management Accounts
?? Monthly Intrastat Return (EC Arrivals)
?? Quarterly EC Sales Return
?? Produce and Submit the VAT Return
?? Produce Year End Accounts
?? Annual Confirmation Statement
Skills & Attributes required for the role:
- Experienced in all areas of Sales/Purchase Ledger including month-end duties
- Strong Excel (including Looks Ups & Sum Ifs)
- Personable, likeable and genuine individual
