Service Manager - Birmingham - Interim - 6 Months - Up to GBP60,000 per annum

A Service Manager is required for up to 6 months, possibly longer, to lead on a portfolio of work focused on the prevention and reduction of public health inequality within the Birmingham area for a large public-sector organisation.

Your new role
As Service Manager you will be responsible for a portfolio of work with a focus on public health and the prevention of inequality and will deal with systemic issues for marginalised groups of society. You will lead a stakeholder group, attend forums and create insight to understand the issues, set and influence agendas and will work with internal/external partners and agencies to develop strategy and deliver initiatives. You will lead a team on a matrix managed basis.

What you'll need to succeed
Your previous experience gained either in a strategic Public Health role or as a CEO/Executive Director with a charity/third sector background will lead to your success. You will have an understanding of public health and the health inequalities agenda as well as exposure to the delivery of health & wellbeing initiatives. You will be an influential leader, who is sensitive in approach and is able to see the bigger picture with proven experience of working in partnership with external/multi-agency partners.
