Randstad Education are looking for Cover supervisors to work in schools in Wakefield and surrounding areas on a daily and weekly basis.
Working as a cover supervisor you will be called upon as and when a school requires cover in lessons, therefore you will be either called on the day in the morning or you will be booked in advanced the day/week before. This is not a permanent role but if you are willing and flexible you could be working 5 days a week. You will become familiar with the same schools which are local to you. This would suit someone looking for part time hours or work to fit in around other commitments. If you enjoy working with children and have experience leading groups or classes please get in touch!
You will be expected to supervise lessons (with no support) during the short term absence of teaching staff, overseeing the work set by the class teacher, supervising and supporting pupils. You will be expected to cover all classes and all subjects, specialism of these subjects are not necessary. You will be on your own and are expected to fulfil the role of a teacher aside from setting the work and marking. The successful applicant will have relevant experience of working with children in an education setting and will be confident to supervise lessons solely. If you have less experience we can offer training and support to help with this.
If you are interested in this role please submit your CV and cover letter online to Maria Vidal or to discuss further please call on (phone number removed). If you prefer you can email me - (url removed)
