The UK's largest plumbing, heating and bathroom wholesaler, supplying 8,000 customers with over 12,500 products nationwide, is looking for an analytical part-time Supply Chain Analyst with expert level Excel skills to join their Product Supply department.
Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, you will be producing relevant KPIs and reports to assist inventory control. You will identify areas of concern in order to continually improve and develop the Product Supply team's ways of working. Your responsibilities will include:
Producing and maintaining the team's spreadsheet-based planning and daily ordering tools
Producing and maintaining KPIs for the team and supported departments
Establishing trends from past history and using current, up-to-date market feedback to produce accurate forecasts
Using forecasts to predict sales patterns
Communicating on a daily basis with the Supply Chain Manager via emailYour working hours will be Monday-Friday, 5 hours/day between 8:00am and 1:00pm. There is some flexibility on hours but mornings (e.g. (phone number removed)am) are required. Due to COVID-19, you would be working from home with occasional meetings in the company's Bedford office. You may also be required to travel to meetings at their hubs in Wakefield and Birmingham (all along the M1) on occasion.

The company you'll be joining have been established for over 50 years, offering the most comprehensive range of products within the plumbing and heating sector. They currently turnover c.GBP300 million a year and continue to grow while operating from distribution centres throughout the UK.
The business has recently been acquired by a successful national wholesale and distribution group, expanding the group's turnover to c.GBP920 million.

Possess an understanding of Supply Chain functions with the skills required to analyse business improvement and provide the mechanism for stock control
Have expert level Excel skills (ideally with experience of Macros)
Be methodical, logical and process-driven
Enjoy working independently and at a fast-pace
Have strong data analysis and numerical skills
