Mechanical Fitter / Assembler

Would you like you to work as a Mechanical Fitter / Assembly Fitter for an International leading engineering business earning an annual salary of GBP27700 for 37.5 per week, plus bonuses paid up to 2k? If so, this may be the position for you.

Due to our clients increase in workload, we require a number of Mechanical / Assembly Fitters to start immediately.

As a Mechanical Fitter you will be working for an innovative engineering manufacturer who can give you the opportunity to work on a day shift working 7:30am - 4:15pm Mon to Thurs and 1 pm finish on Fridays, these positions are for a fixed 12-month contracts.

Main responsibilities a Mechanical Fitter:

To assemble and test machinery and equipment with the use of engineering drawings, machine build, producing quality work to the required standard in a safe manner, following company procedures.

Duties of a Mechanical Fitter:

• Assembly and testing of can making equipment to meet customer requirements.
• support team mates
• Ensure all documentation is up to date and legible
• Ensure workplace standards are adhered to
• Carry out any cleaning pit-stops at the proposed time efficiently and effectively
• Escalate any parts, drawing, routings and machine Faults
• Document any data relevant to associated tasks
• Ensure that Stock control procedures are adhered to at all times
• Communicate with operators from other shifts and carry out effective end of shift handovers

Experience / Knowledge of the Mechanical Fitter

• Minimum of two years' experience in the assembly and testing of OEM (original equipment manufacturer) machinery
