Up to GBP27,000 DOE
This Gastro pub is set in a beautiful rural village in the Colchester area. Over 300 years old, it has been completely refurbished throughout. This restored and revealed the attractive old beams and oak flooring, and created an attractive, cosy dining space, complete with the comfortable dining room, an attractive bar with a large fireplace, and wood-burning stove in the winter.
This role would suit an experienced Senior Chef De Partie / Junior Sous Chef looking to step up into their next role, with extensive knowledge of working with fresh food. NVQ 1/2 qualifications or similar would be desirable.
As a Sous Chef you must be enthusiastic and motivated and in the absence of the head chef you should be able to run the kitchen as required. You will also be involved in monthly menu changes and the daily specials board.
You will be working within a brigade of 4 and be expected to assist the Head Chef in the smooth running of the kitchen, and maintain a high quality of food service on a daily basis.
Variety of shifts including splits, evenings and weekend.
