One of my superb freight forwarding clients based in Leeds is looking for an experienced Freight Forwarder/Customer Account Manager to provide all freight services for their road, sea, air and specialist freight requirements and eradicate any issues with shipping and arrival of containers to site. Due to the ongoing success and growth of the company they are looking for an enthusiastic Freight Forwarder to join the busy and dynamic operations team. First point of contact for key customers with any issues and needing a solution fast!!
The ideal candidate will have a proven background working within the freight customer service division.
Position Overview
Planning the most appropriate route for a shipment
Obtaining, checking and preparing documentation to meet customs and insurance requirements.
Offering consolidation services by air, sea and road, ensuring cost-effective and secure solutions
Arranging insurance and assisting the client in the event of a claim;
Arranging air transport
Customer complaints
First point of contact for all queries, missing shipments, delays and damages
Maintaining communication and control through all phases of the journey
Maintaining current knowledge of relevant legislation
The ideal candidate will have worked in the Freight forwarding industry in a busy customer services role.
Excellent customer service, communication skills, superb organisational and planning skills.
A great problem-solving ability, particularly when working under pressure.
Accuracy and attention to detail, excellent numeracy and computer literacy.
A great salary of GBP25,000 - GBP30,000 is offered with excellent working hours, flexible to start and finish times, benefits & free parking.
