The Successful Candidate:
You are an experienced Development Manager with a background in housebuilding / residential development.

About our Client:
Our client is a large, successful housebuilder known for building high quality homes and valuing their staff as key to their ongoing success.
About the Role:
Partnering with the Development Director, you will manage full Development (Project) Manager duties on new and existing sites.
You will be managing Design Consultants to deliver multiple projects from inception to completion. This will involve providing advice for the pre-submission from planning, tendering and appointing consultants, advising on strategy as well as managing the design and logistical delivery for sites.
You will have an understanding of engineering and architectural aspects of housebuilding projects.
A "fair appreciation" of engineering would include understanding how to manage the utility service installation on a new build volume site, as well as the archaeological and ecological elements of the project.
You will have an understanding of the architectural and engineering aspects of the scheme. You must be able to take a scheme from planning approval and procure and design engineer the scheme through to construction agreements and adoption. You will be able to critique and vet the design that comes in from the consultants.
