Home-Start Guildford seeks an experienced, self-motivated person to join the small friendly staff team, coordinating volunteer support to vulnerable families. The role will involve supporting families by home visits and remotely, training and supervising volunteers to deliver support, and working together with other professionals. Recent experience shows that we can effectively support families both in person and remotely when required.

Home-Start is a leading family support charity, committed to promoting the welfare of young families with at least one child under the age of 6. Volunteers with parenting experience offer regular support to families, helping to prevent family crisis and breakdown.

The ideal candidate will have:

· Experience of working with vulnerable children and families.

· Excellent interpersonal skills and good understanding of the needs of children and families.

· Knowledge and experience of child protection and safeguarding issues, and the role of agencies providing support for children and families.

· Ability to work on their own initiative in a challenging environment

· Car driver and use of car essential (expenses will be paid).
