WAREHOUSE TEAM LEADER - WOLVERHAMPTON GBP22,400 - IMMEDIATE START AVAILABLE!

Working Monday to Friday 06:00 to 14:00 - must be flexible to work 14:00 to 22:00 as the client are considering rotating shifts

You will be assisting the Warehouse Supervisor with the day to day running of the warehouse, managing staff and customer needs and being hands on with the development of the team, driving continuous improvement. Updating daily warehouse figures, weekly graphs, completing daily rack checks, daily management sheet and daily overdue orders reports

The role in based in a brand new warehouse with new equipment and modern technology working within a very busy and fast paced goods in and goods out department

MAIN TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

HEALTH & SAFETY:

Drive continuous improvement through the teams
Maintain a high level of housekeeping embracing 6s
Managing the day to day Health & Safety requirements for all warehouse staff
Investigate any Near Miss Reports received, making recommendations and ensuring agreed actions are carried out
Ensure all staff are trained and competent to operate all equipment as appropriate and ensure relevant training records are maintained
Carry out risk assessments

WAREHOUSE OPERATIONS:

Review manning levels ensuring all roles are covered
Authorise the working of any Overtime, ensuring all reasons for Overtime are managed through Cascade on a weekly basis
Assisting the Warehouse Supervisor to write and implement procedures for all Warehouse operations
Training of the Warehouse team to achieve multi skilled operatives
Compiling relevant reports on Warehouse performance
Manage any time, attendance and disciplinary issues in a timely and professional manner

GOODS OUTWARDS :

Ensure the Picking & Dispatching process is always followed
Supervision of the flow of Picks through the warehouse
Supervision of all orders leaving the building ensuring they are packaged correctly, and all relevant paperwork is attached
Ensure Paperwork and Delivery Slots are done for Specific Customers
Liaising with Transport providers and problem solving
