Bridgeway Consulting offers a full engineering consultancy service covering all aspects of railway infrastructure including Site and Ground Investigations, Geomatics, Civil Engineering Consultancy & Permanent Way Projects, Rail Training and Competence, Assurance and Compliance, Track Access & Isolations and Cable Theft Security. Due to a strong trading position post COVID-19 restrictions, we have a new opportunity for Site Investigation Technicians in our Nottingham office.
Role Purpose
• Responsible for the operation of site equipment in order to accurately gather site information to facilitate Structural and Ground Investigation technical reports to be written as part of the SI/GI Team.
• The role reports ultimately to the Associate Director SI/GI but day to day to the relevant Project Manager in charge of the assigned project.
• The role as you develop will include site team leadership and opportunity to train on a variety of machines/equipment
Key Accountabilities
• Site duties associated with the physical sampling and testing of Geotechnical sub-strata in a variety of environments including Rail, Highways and open land.
• Site duties associated with the physical sampling of steel, concrete, stone for structural investigation in a variety of environments including Rail, Highways and open land.
• Collation of accurate and concise site notes required in the production of drillers logs and daily allocation sheets.
• Attendance at team, safety and technical briefings in accordance with the requirements of the business.
• Technical input to projects for drilling and access as required
• Undertake railway safety critical duties for which you hold competence certification.
• Comply with training and other requirements of your Safety Responsibility Statement.
• Undertake other duties in accordance with the requirements of the company.
