One of the things that I love about sales is that it is a great leveller. It is one of the only careers that you can enter without having specific qualifications or academic achievements. It is one of the only careers that you can match some of the highest earners based purely on your own ability and work rate. If you have a great work ethic, are resilient, have a growth mindset and are open to learning, and can be persistent and positive in the face of rejection, then you could forge a successful career in sales.

We are currently working alongside Cream Financial Solutions, an award-winning mortgage and personal protection brokerage based in Wolverhampton, to grow their sales and account management teams. The great thing about working with these guys is that they are open to looking at candidates with the right attitude and the aptitude to learn, as well as experienced sales' people. They provide excellent training and a great working environment which has a relaxed yet 'work hard, play hard' atmosphere.

We are not looking for sharp suits and snazzy ties (unless that's your thing). If you have the drive we're looking for, the aptitude to learn and a good phone manner, then we don't care if you have tattoos and piercings or bright blue hair. Our clients can't see you and we know there is much more to a person than outward appearance. We celebrate diversity and the richness it brings.

This is not for the faint-hearted as B2C (business to consumer) sales is one of the hardest things to do, but the rewards are great and, if you can handle this, your future career in sales is assured. There is a very realistic OTE of GBP50K + and the bonuses are uncapped so the sky is your limit. As you will be working in financial services, you will undergo comprehensive training. The starting salary is GBP17K (realistic OTE GBP30K - GBP40K in year one) and rises to GBP20K upon attaining the appropriate regulatory status.

You will be provided with superb training and support to enable you to achieve registration is the quickest possible time. This generally takes between 3 - 6 months but could you be a record breaker?

Based in Wolverhampton City Centre, there is free parking, and you are close to all amenities.

You will be taking and making inbound and outbound calls, so a friendly telephone manner is essential. You will be provided with plenty of leads, appointments and administrative support so you can concentrate on building rapport with your customers.

The hours of work are: 11.00 am - 8.00 pm Monday to Thursday (1 day a week 9.30 am - 6.30 pm) and 9.30 am to 4.30 pm on Friday.

The role involves:

* Achieving monthly sales targets by advising clients on all types of insurance and protection, life insurance, critical illness cover, income protection, household insurance etc

* Generating new business through B2C sales and referrals

* The ability to communicate clearly and effectively

Ideal candidates will have:

* Previous sales experience advising on protection (not essential)

* Some form of financial qualification (not essential)

* A brilliant attitude towards work, personal development and learning (essential)

* Ambition, motivation, confidence and a 'can-do' approach
