Islamic Relief Worldwide are currently recruiting for the position of 'Data Protection Analyst' to join the Governance team. The Governance Division is central to supporting the CEO, Board of Directors and Board of Trustees in the leadership and executive management of the organisation. It includes Legal, Internal Audit, Safeguarding, Data Protection and the Policy and Compliance Unit encompassing Whistleblowing and Complaints. The post holder will act as a technical expert on data protection, working to raise awareness of data protection requirements and good practice across all levels of the organisation.
The successful candidate must have or be:
* A qualification or equivalent in a discipline suited to the remit of the role such as data protection, information security, records/data management or business analysis
* Previous experience of working in a data protection or information governance role
* Excellent understanding of UK data protection laws and regulations and data subject rights
* Excellent levels of computer literacy particularly MS Excel
* Ability and motivation to travel within UK (regional offices, shops, meetings etc.)
