An exciting opportunity has arisen to join De Montfort University's (DMU) Continuous Improvement Team as a Business Process Improvement Analyst. This is a fixed term contract ( up to 2 years).

DMU is an ambitious, globally-minded institution with a relentless focus on delivering quality teaching and learning, and a campus-wide focus on providing a sector-leading student experience. A culturally rich university with a palpable commitment to the public good, it strives to maintain a stimulating and inclusive environment where staff and students are able to thrive. The university is a vibrant, multicultural hub of learning, creativity and innovation that never surrenders to convention. Our
success is built on a fantastic student experience coupled with award-winning teaching and world-class facilities that help students develop the skills and attitudes employers demand.
Faculty / Directorate
The People & Organisational Development (POD) Directorate supports DMU in attracting, developing and retaining staff, facilitating high standards of organisational performance, and providing support to colleagues to ensure a high-quality student experience. We offer learning and development, support for recruitment and retention, strategic change projects, policies, procedures
and guidance on equality, health and wellbeing.
The Continuous Improvement Team forms part of the People & Organisational Development Directorate and plays a vital role in supporting the delivery of DMU's large scale strategic programmes and projects. They have also recently received recognition by becoming an accredited Lean Competency System training provider.
Role
As a Business Process Improvement Analyst, your role will focus on supporting and delivering DMU's Financial Recovery Plan which will address the extra ordinary circumstances posed by the Covid-19 crisis. This will involve helping to formulate DMU's future service model by applying a whole systems
Continuous Improvement approach on a number of large-scale business reviews tasked with identifying efficiency improvements which can be converted into tangible financial benefits.
This is an exciting opportunity where you'll require to be client facing ( given the current situation we're in we will carry this out virtually in the interim) and will involve scoping and diagnostic work, workshop facilitation and the application of both Continuous Improvement and relevant data analysis techniques. You will also be required to build a close working relationship with Finance
colleagues across DMU. This is a very challenging but equally rewarding role.
As the Business Process Improvement Analyst, you will enhance your
propensity to succeed by additionally demonstrating:
How you have developed and delivered robust and wide-ranging improvement
proposals which required senior management approval.
How you apply an evidence-based approach to identifying efficiency savings in
a challenging financial environment.
Your knowledge of subjects such as Lean, simulation modelling and Systems
Thinking.
Your ability to consistently deliver business change projects in a challenging
environment.
Your initiative and self-motivation in a work environment.
