Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias)
Based in Blackpool
Night Shift
GBP30,000 circa
Major Recruitment are working with a very successful manufacturing company based in Blackpool who are seeking a full time permanent Electrical bias Maintenance Engineer. The role will be to effectively maintain the equipment within the Wrapping / Packing and Production department ensuring all company standards are met, following all food and health and safety requirements. Completing PPM's to agreed schedule to ensure machine availability. Responding to equipment breakdowns efficiently and contacting OEM for support if required. Daily start up checks for machinery and services to allow production to start at required time.
Daily duties will include:
* Service production machinery according to manufacturer's recommendations.
* Setting and maintaining bar extrusion production lines
* Preventative maintenance of equipment
* Setting and maintaining flow wrapper.
* Reviewing, purchasing and maintain stock of critical spares parts for equipment to minimise machinery downtime.
* Flexibility to working outside of normal hours for equipment repairs to aid with machinery availability for production.
* Effective problem solving and fault finding to reduce stoppage time and increase line performance
* To identify any H&S issues within the area / team, maintaining a focus on risk reduction. Accident and near miss reporting.
Skills + Experience:
* Previous experience within the FMCG industry
* ONC/HNC
* High concern for Safety and standards
